Our Car Transportation Process, Step by Step
What happens from the moment you ask for a quote to the moment you receive your car — and what you need to do at each stage.
Knowing the steps in advance removes most of the uncertainty from moving a car. The process below is how ARC Car Transport handles a typical car shipment. Details can vary with the route and the car, and we will tell you about anything specific to your booking. For background on pricing, carrier types and preparation, see our main car transport service page.
-
1. Enquiry
Send us the pickup location, delivery location, car make and model, and your preferred pickup date — through the quote form or by calling +91 76668 19191. Mention anything unusual: a non-running car, very low ground clearance, modifications, or a pickup point with narrow access.
You do: share accurate details. The more accurate the enquiry, the more accurate the quote.
-
2. Written quote
We send you a written quote showing the route, the car, the price and what it covers, plus anything that may be charged separately. [To confirm: how the quote is sent: email / WhatsApp / PDF, and how long it stays valid]
You do: read it and ask about anything unclear before you accept.
-
3. Booking confirmation
Once you accept the quote, we confirm the booking and the pickup date. [To confirm: booking requirements: advance payment amount, payment methods, and what confirmation the customer receives (e.g. booking number / docket)]
You do: keep your booking or docket number — you will need it for updates.
-
4. Preparing the car
Before pickup, wash the car, photograph it, remove personal belongings and loose accessories, keep only a little fuel and make sure it starts. The full checklist is on the car transport page.
You do: keep copies of the required documents ready. [To confirm: list of documents ARC asks for at pickup]
-
5. Pickup and condition check
At pickup, the car is inspected with you or your nominee and its existing condition — scratches, dents, chips, and the odometer reading — is recorded before loading. [To confirm: confirm format of the pickup record and whether the customer receives a copy]
You do: walk around the car with our team and make sure everything you know about is noted. Hand over the keys we ask for.
-
6. Loading and transit
The car is loaded onto the carrier and secured for the journey. Transit time depends on distance, route and schedule; we give you an expected timeline and tell you if anything changes.
You do: for a status update, call us or use the shipment update request form with your booking number. We do not currently offer live online vehicle tracking. For a status update, call us or use the shipment update request form. [To confirm: how status updates are given, e.g. phone call / WhatsApp / SMS]
-
7. Delivery and handover
We contact you before delivery to arrange the handover. At delivery, inspect the car against the pickup record — preferably in daylight — check the interior and start the engine.
You do: if you notice anything new, note it on the delivery document and take photos before signing. [To confirm: balance payment rules at delivery, if any]
-
8. After delivery
If you have a concern after receiving the car, contact us as soon as possible with your booking number and photos. [To confirm: how and within what time a customer should raise a delivery issue]
We would also appreciate an honest review of your experience.
