Our Bike Transportation Process, Step by Step

How ARC moves a motorcycle or scooter from your pickup point to its destination — including the packing stage — and what you need to do along the way.

Moving a two-wheeler has one stage that a car shipment does not: packing. The bike is wrapped to protect its tank, mirrors, lights and body panels, and can be packed in a wooden crate for extra protection. Here is the full sequence. For packing options, pricing factors and the preparation checklist, see our bike transport service page.

  1. 1. Enquiry

Tell us the pickup and delivery locations, the bike make and model, and your preferred date. Mention whether you would like wooden crate packing, and whether the bike runs.

You do: use the quote form or call +91 76668 19191.

  2. 2. Written quote

We send a written quote with the route, bike, packing option and price, and list anything that may be charged separately. [To confirm: how the quote is sent and how long it stays valid]

You do: compare standard and crate packing if you are undecided, and ask questions before accepting.

  3. 3. Booking confirmation

When you accept, we confirm the booking and pickup date. [To confirm: advance payment amount, payment methods, and what confirmation / booking number the customer receives]

You do: save your booking or docket number.

  4. 4. Preparing the bike

Clean the bike, photograph it, reduce the fuel to the level we advise, and remove detachable accessories such as top boxes and phone mounts.

You do: keep copies of documents ready. [To confirm: documents ARC asks for at bike pickup]

  5. 5. Inspection and packing

The bike’s condition is checked with you and existing marks are recorded. It is then packed: protective wrapping for standard packing, or wrapping plus a wooden frame for crate packing. [To confirm: where packing is done — at the customer’s address or at another location — and the pickup record given to the customer]

You do: point out existing scratches or faults so they are noted.

  6. 6. Loading and transit

The packed bike is loaded and secured in the goods vehicle and travels to the destination. We share an expected timeline and tell you about changes.

You do: for updates, call us or send a shipment update request. We do not currently offer live online vehicle tracking. For a status update, call us or use the shipment update request form. [To confirm: how status updates are given, e.g. phone call / WhatsApp / SMS]

  7. 7. Delivery, unpacking and check

We contact you to arrange delivery. The packing or crate is removed and you inspect the bike against the pickup record: paint, tank, mirrors, lights, levers, and the engine.

You do: note anything new on the delivery document and photograph it before signing. [To confirm: balance payment rules at delivery, if any]

  8. 8. After delivery

If you have a concern after delivery, contact us quickly with your booking number and photos. [To confirm: how and within what time a delivery issue should be raised] We also welcome an honest review.
